A parcel gilt and partial ebonized bedstead with original bronze mounted roundel in center of headboard. Original finish can benefit from an over coat, however it is quite acceptable in its original estate condition. Bronze center medallion is approximately 10" in diameter. Possible New York manufacture.

Monumental Victorian bookcase over a large executive desk executed in Paris circa 1880-1900. This piece is constructed out of solid quarter sawn white oak, and is a commanding 8'10" tall. There is a partial Parisian cabinet makers label on back as seen in the photos. This piece is completely restored including the high grade gilt leather writing surface on desk. The massive doors on bookcase still retain the original glass.

A rare and perfectly carved Aesthetic cabinet in the Moorish taste. Executed in Figured Cherry, the carving is the work of a master. Every detail is a testament to perfection. The piece is constructed beautifully, with tongue and groove construction, as well as a paneled rear case. All points show extreme attention to detail, and executed by a master cabinet maker of the Victorian era. The locks are all signed G. Bayer, NYC patent Feb. 1872. The same lock sets Herter Bro's furniture often used. This case is of the quality and construction of Herter Brothers, and we are proud to offer this rare prize on our site.

Rosewood Sofa attributed To A & H Lejambre 1870

Important rosewood carved sofa in the French taste. This sofa was part of the Virginia Carroll Crawford Collection at the High Museum in Atlanta Ga. For the last 22 years. It was reputedly commissioned by Henry C. Gibson, and executed by A& H Lejambre in 1870. This sofa is also illustrated in “Art & Enterprise, American Decorative Art 1825-1917” pgs 130-131. It was also exhibited at the High Museum. This is a very large sofa upholstered in gold silk. Finish is not original.
